Irrigation System
All properties in the Legends have access to pressurized irrigation water. The water is supplied by two separate sources, the Sharver lateral and the Karnes lateral. A modern, high capacity pump system provides a constant supply of pressurized water throughout the irrigation season, preventing the need to ration water usage even during the hot summer months. Monitors have been installed to measure water pressure and notify the Irrigation Master of any issues before they become major problems. Note: if the valve that connects your sprinkler system to the pressurized irrigation water source should fail, please click here to notify the Board of Directors. The cost of this repair may be covered by the Homeowners Association as part of our irrigation maintenance costs.

Turn On/Turn Off
Irrigation water becomes available in April and is usually turned off in October.  Specific turn on/turn off dates are posted on the message board at the Eagle Road and McMillan Road entrances to the Legends as well as this website.  On the rare occasion when there is a disruption to water service (e.g. pump or pipe repair), a “Breaking News” message will appear on the home page of the website (under the Legends logo) explaining the situation and when service is expected to be restored.

Important Reminder
If you plan to use City water to water your property when irrigation water is turned off, please be sure to close your valve to the pressurized irrigation system!   If you fail to do this, you will be supplying large quantities of City water into the irrigation system – water for which you will receive a bill from the water company. This can be very expensive.
